Srinagar, January 07 (KNO) : Former Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah on Monday took a dig at PDP president Mehbooba Mufti’s statement wherein she called politicians who left PDP as 'garbage' and said it's all part of the treachery to people to gather votes in upcoming elections. "They are all gimmicks to hoodwink people to gather votes," Omar said. According to KNO correspondent, Omar said that the PDP deserters referred as ‘garbage’ by Mufti were once honest while they were defending her last year. Abdullah made these comments while addressing party men welcoming two new faces into party. Mehbooba Mufti while addressing party workers at a function over third death anniversary of PDP founder Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. “From this platform, I want to invite the youth of Jammu and Kashmir who are educated and interested in resolution of the Kashmir issue to come and join us…all the garbage in the party has gone out with the wind,” she said. "Today she asks youth to join her party as garbage is out of their party now. I will never use such remarks as people come and go. Today she seeks apology on her comments of 2016. These all things are being done to fool people as elections are coming," Omar said. He said that time has come that they get away with 'coalition government culture'. "Past four years nothing but lies have been provided to people and people want to reply it by pushing the button," he told the gathering. Omar also took to Twitter and said: “Last year at this very time they were defending her in the assembly & council. With her they were “honest, decent, hardworking” people & after they leave they become “garbage”. The world of politics is indeed a cruel world.”(KNO)
